Lights, Camera... and Action!
November 29, 2003 - Dallas, TX. Over 150 fans and professionals alike strutted
their stuff in front of the camera Thanksgiving weekend in hopes of landing
a part for the upcoming production of a teaser and pilot for Digital Burn: The
Series. Cashel Entertainment, under the leadership of director Tony Brownrigg,
hosted the open casting call during Itzacon in Dallas, Texas, where streams
of people read lines from sample scripts before the production staff.
There has been significant effort between Cashel Entertainment and Living Room
Games over the past few months to ensure that the transition of the Digital
Burn world from role-playing game to television is as smooth and accurate as
possible. Cashel Entertainment wants fans of the game to be able to immediately
recognize events and features from the game in the show, so they are working
very closely with LRG to ensure this continuity.
"Cashel has been very diligent about getting the scope and feel of the
Digital Burn world exactly right," says Joe Chan, president of Living Room
Games. "They've sent all of their notes and scripts to us for content review.
They've invited members of our staff to participate in many of their events.
They've even had us run a couple of games for their writers and producers to
give them a better feel for the world and setting. When the core cast has been
assembled, they'd like us to run a few more games for them, to help the actors
acclimate to the world and to their characters. With that level of care and
attention to detail, I'm very confident that Digital Burn: The Series will feel
very much like a page right out of our book."
Things are still in the preliminary stages, so there isn't much that has been
set in stone yet. Keep watching the Living Room Games website for updates and
news concerning this exciting development.
