April Fools '01
(Just as a note, ladies and gentlemen. This post was made on April 1st for good reason. It's a joke. There are no half-breeds in Earthdawn® 2nd Edition. As tempting as it is to have New York Cabby Cavalrymen, it's only humor.)
Half-bloods in Earthdawn
In Earthdawn® 2nd Edition, there will be the possibilities of half-breed Name-giver races. Here is a brief overview of what they are:
Helf
A cross between a human and an elf. They receive a +1 to their Charisma attribute, and a -15 to their Originality.
Oompaloompa
A cross between a human and a dwarf. They receive a bonus of +3 to their Toughness, and a -4 to their Charisma. They also receive the racial ability of unspoken Taunt, that effects everything in line of sight.
New York Cabby
A cross between a human and an ork. They receive a +3 to their Toughness, as well as +4 Steps to Charisma for the purposes of Taunt.
Woo'kee
A cross between a human and a troll. They suffer a -4 to Perception and Charisma, but gain the racial ability to MU*. In addition, they receive the racial ability to conceal their identity.
Hen'stridge
A cross between a human and a t'skrang. They receive a +5 to their Charisma, though they have to eat their mate. They do get a sequel, though.
Goth
A cross between an elf and a dwarf. Goths receive a +4 to Charisma, but suffer from severe self loathing. Horrors don't mark them.
Elk
A cross between an elf and an ork. Restricted to riding reindeer.
Nar'cissist
A cross between an elf and a t'skrang. They gain +6 steps to Charisma when socially challenging themselves.
Kinneson
A cross between a dwarf and an ork. They receive +5 steps to Taunt.
Gimp
A cross between a dwarf and a troll. They gain a +5 to Toughness, and take a -5 to Strength. They also can't wear anything heavier than leather.
Frog
A cross between a dwarf and a t'skrang. They tend to all like the same beer.
Khan's Lut
A cross between an ork and a troll. They receive a +5 to Toughness, and suffer a -5 to Charisma.
Alligator
A cross between an ork and a t'skrang. Yes, like the reptile.
Giant Alligator
A cross between a troll and a t'skrang. They gain the racial ability to live in any size sewer.
Elf + Troll
A sport in the highlands.
Windling + Anything but Windling
Painful for Windling.
Obisidman + Anything
Bad idea.
